A rare lenticular display over the Krkonoše Mountains National Park. This photo was taken on September 22nd, 2020.
Lenticular are stationary clouds that form perpendicular to the wind direction and are frequently shaped like a lens, or saucer. They have often been responsible for UFO sightings. Moist, stable air flows over high ground and causes these standing waves of clouds on teh leeward side of the mountains.
